implementation of the theme in the English Department took place as
follows in October : |

In the Pre-School
Division
Students have implemented the theme of the year by preparing a
booklet
about staying healthy. “Shine and make a difference” was carried
out through drawings, paintings,
songs, craft work, and discussions
about things that shine and make a difference.
Teachers have also creatively decorated the class doors with an
illustrative idea of the yearly theme.

In the
Elementary I Division
The
theme was introduced through discussions in classes on how we can
shine on others in our daily life through a poem and a song. Bulletin
boards were decorated with the students’ work.
Morning assemblies were held, too, to give spiritual insight.

In the Elementary II Division
Poems and songs related to the theme were
introduced to add to the students’ understanding of the theme.
A story
along with written and oral presentations was completed.
In addition to
that, a sketch and a play were performed.

Power Point presentations, quotes and
poems were introduced.
A sketch and a play were performed too.
Teachers
also created activities like riddles, puzzles, jokes, and crosswords to
provide entertainment.
A presentation of a story accompanied with a
prayer was completed.
Bulletin boards were decorated with quotes too.

In the Secondary Division
Quotes
related to the theme were discussed and displayed on the bulletin
boards.
Election campaign project was completed for the delegate of 1S classes
to show how students
can make a difference in their class and in their school.
Students were familiarized too with a Lebanese figure, who has brought a
change to our life, through a presentation.
