Math
Department
The Math Department worked throughout the month of April on the
school’s yearly theme.
Projects, competitions, brain teasers, internet access, journals, and
songs
were made and taught to enhance students’ understanding and
motivate them to research
and get information about the topics covered
in Math.
Science
Department
Elementary I Division
Students have
implemented the theme by holding special assemblies on cleanliness,
nutrition,
and water cycle through power point presentations, songs, and
poems.
Projects were made also on animals and their products.
Banners and quotes were discussed and displayed too.
Elementary II Division
In the Elementary II Division, the theme was introduced through focusing
on the life of the Lebanese scientists: Hasan Kamel Al Sabbah.
Morning assemblies were held on Tree Day, Cleanliness Day, International
Water Day, and Sickness Day.
Objects prepared by the students were displayed, science poems were
taught, and banners were hanged too.
Intermediate Division
Students were familiarized with Lebanese scientists: Peter Moudawar,
Michel Obeid, and Amin Barakat.
Cleanliness Day, Tree Day, and Water Day were discussed too.
Morning assemblies were held and projects were made on there topics.
Grade 7 class visited a green house” La Vie En Rose” and grade 8 visited
the Geology Museum at A.U.B.
Science quotes and banners were discussed and put on boards.
Secondary Division
Science expositions, projects and competitions were made with the
learners.
Power point presentations and projects were done and discussed on plants
and planting, the nervous system, proteins, synthesis, reproduction,
respiration, drugs, and DNA.
