Generating a Computer Literacy Environment.

In May 2006, Jesus and Mary School launched an Information Technology Project to train teachers and staff to become proficient in the various computer skills. The main purpose behind such a daring project was the firm conviction that such a formation would make a difference in the educational system

Throughout the academic year, the Multimedia Department conducted nine such computer sessions. The experience was one that thrilled both staff and trainers. Our mission as a department goes beyond the computer literacy courses. We aim to find solutions to the problems teachers might encounter as they integrate Technology into Education.

We are committed to a rigorous follow up that would assist staff members in finding the healthy combination of development and collaboration tools on the one hand, and resources on the other that would ensure the harmonious blend of technology and education – an alloy that would bring forth professional growth and development of the educational system.
